I went on a vintage glass button hunt at the St.Lawrence Antique Market this weekend, and although I found some beauties,  I came across these illustrations that were way more exciting! This set of hand painted lithograph prints are from an old unknown catologue, and I flirted with the vendor so that he would let me take some photos (please tell me it was worth it)!  Some of the illustrations include a pattern draft technical, which reminds me of these books from Anna's collection. It's kind of bonkers how pretty they are so and I wanted to share them with you.

(I want every one of these cloche hats, ga!)

These are so beautiful! I think I died a little when I saw them. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go and swoon a little more...

Nice, you should totally scan that book (from the earlier post) in and upload it to the internet archive so people can make use of the information within. I've been scanning antiquarian pattern making/ sewing books and vintage manuals and posting them so that people can access them. I only post copyright expired stuff-it's under Friday Freebies on my blog.

Also there's something really weird going on with your RSS feed in Reader, instead of the whole post it only shows two of the images and no text.. XP

That's such a good idea about uploading the book. It's no longer in my possession, but I'll suggest it to my friend who owns it. I've been meaning to do that with a very old, very beautiful French graphic design book that is copyright expired. Also, thank for letting me know about the RSS feed, I'm looking into it.

Joelle - So glad that it made you swoon!

Beautiful images. I love those eras and the technical illustrations would be wonderful to pour over and study. I still love cloches, too!
